Sasha Gorelik

R&d Manager, IP Optical Networking at Ribbon Communications

Sasha Gorelik has an extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. From 2019 to present, Sasha worked as the R&D Manager for IP Optical Networking at Ribbon Communications, where they led teams in developing the next-generation management system for IP and optical domains.

Prior to that, from 2010 to 2019, Sasha held various roles at ECI Telecom. They started as a Software Team Leader for OTN NMS/LightSoft, where they managed the development of an Optical Transport Networks Traffic Optimization tool. Sasha then became the Group Lead for NMS/LightSOFT/Optic, leading the optic group and developing the next-generation management system. From 2016 to 2019, Sasha was the SW Group Manager for SDN, Network Planning, and Analytics, leading teams for SDN, 5G, and Optical Domain Controller, as well as the Network Analytics Team.

Before joining ECI Telecom, Sasha worked at Pointer Software Systems, Ltd from 2006 to 2010 as a Senior Software Engineer and Project Manager. They were responsible for Elements Manager Systems (EMS) development for the telecommunication department and were an expert in the SNMP protocol.

In the early stages of Sasha's career, from 2000 to 2006, they worked at the Israeli Flight Test Center as an Instrumentation Team Leader. They were involved in the development of dedicated airborne instrumentation systems, information systems development, and also served as the Flight Test Instrumentation Training Manager.

Sasha Gorelik obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science from the Open University of Israel, where they studied from 2001 to 2006. In 2007, Sasha attended a Project Management Course at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology. Before that, from 1995 to 1997, Sasha Gorelik studied Electronics and Computers at the IDF Air Force Practical Engineers School. Lastly, from 1992 to 1995, Sasha attended the IDF College, although no specific field of study is indicated.
