Matt Ibbetson

Matt Ibbetson is the current Principal at Ridgemont Equity Partners. Prior to this, they worked as the Global Purchasing Director - Electonics at Lear Corporation from November 2013 to July 2015. In this role, they were responsible for an $800M electronics material spend, managed a global team of 35 purchasing professionals, and developed and implemented sourcing strategy for electronic commodities. Matt also worked for McKinsey & Company from August 2007 to September 2013 as an Engagement Manager. In this role, they specialized in manufacturing, supply chain management and procurement functions, and led both small projects and large transformations that included all phases from design through implementation.

-Matt Ibbetson attended the United States Naval Academy for their undergraduate degree and then went on to complete their MBA at the UCLA Anderson School of Management.

Matt Ibbetson reports to John Shimp, Managing Partner. They are on a team with Chase Culbertson - Vice President, Tim Dillon - Partner, and Charles Anderson - Partner.
