Sebastian Spiegler

Sebastian Spiegler has a strong background in artificial intelligence and technology. Sebastian is currently the Director of Artificial Intelligence at Rithum, where they lead a team in developing a multi-modal AI platform for searching and discovering products online. Prior to joining Rithum, Sebastian founded and served as the CEO of Cadeera, a technology platform for product data enrichment. Sebastian has also held positions as a Director at Empirical.AI, CTO at General System, and Co-Founder of Project Juno. Sebastian has experience in venture capital as an early-stage investor at Reed Elsevier Ventures. Sebastian has also contributed their expertise as a Data Scientist and Data Team Lead at SwiftKey and as a Data Scientist for Common Crawl. Additionally, Sebastian has been involved in the technology community as a co-organizer and financial director for the Hadoop User Group UK (HUGUK).

Sebastian Spiegler holds a Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Computational Linguistics from the University of Bristol, which they completed from 2007 to 2011. Sebastian also earned a Master's Degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, and Economics from Technische Universität Ilmenau, graduating in 2007. In addition, Sebastian Spiegler spent a year at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina, studying Computer Science and Information Systems from 2004 to 2005. Sebastian has additional certifications in Entrepreneurship Specialization from Wharton Online and Cloudera Certified Developer for Apache Hadoop CDH3 from Cloudera, Inc.
