Yiting Zhang

Yiting Zhang has over 13 years of work experience in the tech industry. In 2006, they started their career as a Senior Software Developer at Tangerine Concepts Corp. Yiting then moved to Navarik in 2007, where they served as a Lead of Automated Testing and Senior Developer. In 2012, they joined Amazon as a Software Development Engineer Test II and in 2016, they became a Test Automation Lead at CA Technologies. Currently, they are a Technical Team Lead and Senior Software Engineer at Rival Technologies since 2019. In this role, they lead a growing backend team and mentors team members to grow their career. Yiting is also focusing on test automation, performance testing, operation, and QA process.

Yiting Zhang has a diverse educational background, beginning with a B.Eng. in Computer Science from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, obtained between 1992 and 1996. In 2003, Yiting attended the University of Warwick to study English, but did not obtain a degree. Between 2004 and 2006, Yiting obtained an MBA in Management of Technology from Simon Fraser University. In addition to these degrees, Yiting has also obtained several certifications from Coursera, including AstroTech: The Science and Technology behind Astronomical Discovery (2017), Understanding Einstein: The Special Theory of Relativity (2016), Functional Program Design in Scala (2016), Parallel Programming (2016), and Functional Programming Principles in Scala (2016).
