Marcos Cancio

Marcos G. Cancio currently serves as Vice President and Claim Counsel at RLI Insurance Company, holding various roles since August 2018, including Assistant Vice President and Director of Claim Counsel. Prior to RLI, Marcos worked as Senior Counsel at Clyde & Co, where counseling focused on complex insurance coverage and bad faith litigation from January 2018 to July 2018. From May 2010 to December 2017, Marcos was a Partner at Sedgwick LLP, specializing in insurance coverage analysis and litigation. Earlier experience includes serving as an Attorney at Tressler, LLP, and a legal extern with Hon. Judge Michael T. Mason in the US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. Marcos holds a JD from Loyola University Chicago School of Law and a BA in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Indiana University Bloomington. Recognition includes being named a Rising Star by Illinois Super Lawyers in 2010.
