Roshani Desai

Interim Project Coordinator, SNAP! & Grants Management Coordinator at Robert Wood Johnson Foundation

Roshani Desai, MBA, joined the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation in 2007. In her role as executive assistant, she provides high-level administrative support to the vice president and chief science officer and the assistant vice president of Research-Evaluation-Learning. She serves as the primary operational and administrative point of contact for the Research-Evaluation-Learning unit to support the Foundation’s vision to cultivate and build a Culture of Health.

In her previous roles as program administrative assistant and Program Service Center administrative coordinator at RWJF, some of Desai’s notable tasks included: improving operational efficiency by updating essential administrative procedures and guidelines; assisting in development and standardization of workflow procedures; mentoring new program administrative assistants; and delegating back-up support to staff.

Desai is a member of the RWJF Process Improvement Group and served as a member of the Virtual Foundation Meeting Planning Committee. She also assisted with the coordination and management of the RWJF Alumni Network. She has earned a BS in Business Administration and an MBA from Georgian Court University.

Born and raised in Harare, Zimbabwe, Desai is a nature advocate and believes in preserving and protecting the natural environment. She currently lives in Plainsboro, N.J., with her husband and two children. She enjoys watching basketball with her sons, gardening, exercising, and cooking.
