Samara Brown

Samara Brown currently serves as the Manager of Scientific Talent at The Rockefeller University since April 2022. Previously, Samara held the position of Lab Manager II at Howard Hughes Medical Institute from September 2017 to April 2022. An extensive freelance career includes roles as a Freelance Editor from 2004 to 2021 and a Freelance Graphic Designer from 2016 to 2017. Earlier experience at The Rockefeller University spans over a decade, with positions ranging from Research Assistant I to Research Assistant III from July 2001 to July 2013. In 2013, Samara contributed as a Science Advisor for the independent film production of The Fly Room. Educational credentials include a PhD in Genetics from Yale University (2013-2017) and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Mount Holyoke College (1997-2001).
