Solmoz Azartash-Namin

Solmoz Azartash-Namin is a highly skilled propulsion engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace industry. Currently serving as a Senior Propulsion Engineer at Rocket Lab since May 2023, Azartash-Namin previously held various leadership roles at Virgin Orbit, including Newton 3 Engine Lead and Senior Propulsion Engineer, where responsibilities included developing test sequences, performing data analysis, and managing engine readiness reviews. Azartash-Namin has a robust background in research and development, with work on multi-hole probes at the OSU Unmanned Systems Research Institute and hands-on experience with numerous engineering projects during tenure at Oklahoma State University. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering and a double Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Aerospace Engineering, both obtained from Oklahoma State University.
