Lalindra De Silva has extensive work experience, beginning in 2008 when they worked as an Associate Software Engineer for the Software Development Unit at the University of Colombo School of Computing, and for Aeturnum Lanka Pvt. Ltd. In 2009, they took on the role of Graduate Teaching Assistant at the School of Computing, University of Utah. In 2010, they became a Graduate Research Assistant at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. In 2011, they continued their role as Graduate Teaching Assistant at the School of Computing, University of Utah, and in 2014, they became a Graduate Research Intern at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where they set up and experimented with Hadoop/Spark Cluster environments for applying machine learning to large data sets, and tracked epidemics using Wikipedia edit logs. In 2015, they worked as a Sr. Software Engineer at the Center for Scalable Analytics and Informatics, University of Utah, while also taking on the role of Graduate Research Intern at the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Since 2019, they have been the Head of AI Research at Rozie.AI.
Lalindra De Silva has a diverse educational background. Lalindra obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science from the University of Utah between 2013 and 2015. Prior to that, they earned a BSc in Computer Science from the University of Colombo between 2005 and 2009. Lalindra also attended Ananda College, Colombo from 1995 to 2003. In addition, they hold several certifications, including an Advanced Diploma in Management Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), a Certificate in Business Accounting from the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), a Microsoft Certified Professional, Application Development Foundation from Microsoft, a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, Distributed Application Development (70-529: Visual C#) from Microsoft, a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, Web-based Client Application Development (70-528: Visual C#) from Microsoft, and a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, Windows-based Client Application Development (70-526: Visual C#) from Microsoft.
