Charles Rath has worked in the field of resilience and sustainability for over a decade. Charles is currently the President & CEO of RS21, a company that provides consulting services to help organizations build resilience. Prior to RS21, Rath served as the Lead for Sandia National Laboratories' Resilient Cities initiative. In this role, they coordinated a portfolio of 10 capabilities tailored to enhance the resilience of cities, systems, communities, and individuals. Rath has also served on the External Advisory Board for the Critical Infrastructure Resilience Institute (CIRI). CIRI is a joint partnership with ARI and the University of Illinois Information Trust Institute that is funded by a $20 million five-year grant from the Department of Homeland Security.
Charles Rath earned a Bachelor's degree from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis and a Master of Public Administration from the School of Public Affairs at American University.
