Sheng Fan

Sheng Fan is a highly experienced geoscientist and data scientist currently serving as a Project Geoscientist at RSC since March 2023. Prior to this role, Sheng worked as a Research Associate at the University of Cambridge and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Otago. Earlier experience includes a position as a Geological Engineer at CNOOC China Limited, focusing on structural geological interpretation and oilfield evaluation. Sheng holds a PhD in Rheology, Material Science, and Glaciology from the University of Otago, along with multiple visiting PhD credentials from esteemed institutions in ice rheology and numerical modeling. Educational background also includes a Master's degree in Geology and a Bachelor's degree in Geophysics, both from the China University of Petroleum, Beijing.
