Jim Childs

Jim Childs is an experienced professional in engineering and project design, currently serving as a Project Designer at RTS Associates since April 2013. Previously, Jim held positions as a Construction Inspector at Engineering Associates, LLC, and as an Outside Plant Engineer at Crux LLC, focusing on fiber optic route design and construction coordination. With a solid background at Byers Engineering as an OSP Designer and as Engineering Manager at SourceOne Corp., Jim managed engineering projects for AT&T, including construction supervision and bid preparation. Jim’s career began at AT&T as the Manager of OSP engineering, where major outside plant projects were designed and technical assistance was provided. Educational qualifications include studies at Southern Polytechnic State University and Georgia Institute of Technology.
