Jason Cross has a wide range of work experience in the fields of technology, finance, and social impact. In 2017, they became Co-Founder & Chief Strategy Officer at Rymedi, a company that works to revolutionize access to precision health. Jason also became Executive Chairman at Agraria Technologies, Inc. that same year. In 2019, they were appointed Chair of the Intellectual Property Subgroup of the IEEE Standards Association's EMB Standards Committee, Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, for Standard for the Framework of Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) Use in Healthcare and the Life and Social Sciences.

Prior to 2017, Cross was Chief Innovation Officer at the Foundation for Commercializing Innovation from 2015-2017, Director/Founder of ITPLab and Professor of Law, Policy, Markets & Management, and Global Health at Duke University from 2010-2013, and an Independent Consultant for various technology, finance, and social impact projects and partners from 2006-2010. Jason was also a Professor at the Rotary Peace Center at Duke & UNC Chapel Hill from 2014-2015, Founding NC Board Member for the Society of Physician Entrepreneurs from 2014-2015, and Senior Advisor for American Remote Health from 2013-2014. Finally, they were a Visiting Professor & Fellow at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2013-2014.

Jason Cross has a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Anthropology of Economics & Governance from Duke University, a Doctor of Law (J.D.) in Global Innovation & Intellectual Property Law from Duke University School of Law, a Postdoctoral Fellow in Science & Technology Policy from University of Michigan's Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Cultural Anthropology from Duke University, a Ph.D. Program in Philosophy, Science, Technology & Society from Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea, a Master of Arts (M.A.) in History & Philosophy of Science from University of Pittsburgh, a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Biological Anthropology, History & Religious Studies from Penn State University, and an Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Social Sciences from HACC, Central Pennsylvania's Community College.
