Jim Jenkins has over 20 years of experience as a writer and editor in various industries. Jim'smost recent role was as the JDR&E Chief Technical Editor / Proposal Writer at Sabre Systems Inc., where they served as the chief editor for the peer-reviewed Journal of DoD Research & Engineering. Prior to that, they worked as a freelance writer/editor and communication consultant at ProComm Consultants. Jim also has experience as a technical writer at Panum Group, LLC, CACI International Inc, E3 Federal Solutions, LLC, Strategic Insight, Eagle Systems Inc., Wyle, Bowhead Information Technology Services, and Henderson Associates, Inc. In these roles, they were responsible for writing and editing various types of documents, such as policy papers, reports, news articles, and press releases. Jim also has experience in graphic design and video production.

Jim Jenkins earned a Master of Arts degree in Communication and Leadership from Gonzaga University, completing their studies from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from Bowie State University, attending from 1991 to 1994. Jim also holds an Associate of Science degree in Music and Video Business, which they earned from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, studying from 1989 to 1991. Jim'ssecondary education includes a General Studies diploma from Chopticon High School, which they completed from 1985 to 1989.

In addition to their formal education, Jim Jenkins obtained the APMP® Bid and Proposal Management Foundation certification from APMG International in January 2023.
