Brandon Stinchfield has a diverse work experience spanning several organizations and roles. Brandon currently serves as the Director of Institutional Partnerships at SAGE since November 2021. Before that, they worked at PEN America, initially as the Deputy Director of Foundations and Grants from November 2019 to July 2020, and then as the Director of Foundations and Grants until November 2021.
Prior to their time at PEN America, Brandon was with The Trevor Project, where they held the position of Head of Foundation and Government Grants from March 2018 to November 2019. Brandon successfully managed and grew a new $1.5 million foundation and government grants portfolio for the organization, securing significant grants from prominent LGBTQ and healthcare foundations.
Previously, Brandon worked at Demos: An Equal Say & An Equal Chance for All, starting as a Development Assistant in May 2011 and progressing to role titles including Foundation Relations Associate and Foundation Relations Manager until June 2016. Brandon also gained experience as an Administrative/Paralegal Intern at the organization from January 2011 to May 2011.
In addition, Brandon has interned at various organizations, including the Block Island Historical Society as a Museum Intern, Stonewall Communities as an Oral History Intern, and the ICMC (International Catholic Migration Commission) as a Policy Intern.
Their earliest work experience includes serving as an Office Assistant at the Howard Thurman Center at Boston University in 2009.
From 2006 to 2010, Brandon Stinchfield attended Boston University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree. Their major fields of study were International Relations and History.
