Erin Claflin

Erin Claflin is a dedicated school counselor with experience in various educational settings. Currently serving at Saint Joseph School since August 2021, Erin previously held the position of High School Peer Mentor Academic Counselor at Catholic Memorial School, where responsibilities included guiding rising Junior and Senior students on academic matters. Erin's earlier roles include Head Lifeguard at Newton Parks Department, overseeing a large lifeguard team and developing training programs, and swim coach for the City of Newton's youth swim team, designing training programs for diverse age groups. Erin also gained counseling experience as a 7th Grade School Counselor Intern at Newton Public Schools and as an ELL Summer School Counselor. Erin holds a Master of Education in School Counseling from Merrimack College and a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Human Services from the same institution.
