Katy Almond is a dedicated legal professional with extensive experience in Indian Law and legal services. Currently serving as a Staff Attorney at the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community since January 2020, Katy previously worked with New Mexico Legal Aid as a Staff Attorney and AmeriCorps Attorney Member, focusing on medical-legal partnerships for Native Health. Earlier roles include a Summer Associate position at Hartline Dacus Barger Dreyer LLP, internships at the Law Office of Scott M. Ellison, the 347th District Court, and the 13th Court of Appeals, as well as a communications internship at Gemini Ink. Katy holds a Juris Doctor from Texas Tech University School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts in English from The University of Texas at San Antonio.
