Chien Tan

Chien Tan has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries.

Most recently, Chien worked at Samsara as a Software Engineering Manager II starting in July 2023. Prior to that, Chien was a Software Engineering Manager at Clearcover from August 2022 to July 2023.

Before joining Clearcover, Chien held multiple roles at Vivid Seats LLC. Chien began as a Senior Quality Engineer in August 2017 and was promoted to Lead Quality Engineer in July 2020. In February 2021, Chien became the Manager of Quality Engineering, where they built and managed a team of 16 quality engineers.

Chien's earlier experience includes working as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at CIMB from April 2015 to February 2017. In this role, Chien served as the Project Manager for the Malaysia Goods and Services Tax (GST) project and as a Functional Architect for CIMB's digital transformation project.

Prior to CIMB, Chien was the QA Manager at Binary.com, a leader in online binaries trading, from March 2010 to March 2012. Before that, Chien worked at Consolsys Sdn Bhd as a Senior Software Engineer from March 2009 to March 2010, specializing in banking automation solutions.

Chien began their career at Intel Corporation, where they worked as a Senior Design Engineer from April 2008 to February 2009 and as a Design Engineer from June 2005 to April 2008. Chien also served as a Graduate Trainee at Intel from January 2005 to June 2005.

Additionally, Chien gained experience in academia as an Academic Tutor at UTS: University of Technology, Sydney from August 2003 to November 2004.

Chien Tan earned a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Technology Sydney, from the years 2001 to 2004. In addition to this degree, Chien Tan also obtained a certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in March 2012.
