Erik Gutierrez

Erik Gutierrez currently serves as Executive Director of Business Development at Biosplice Therapeutics since September 2021, following a role as Senior Director of Business Development at Esperion from August 2019 to September 2021. Previously, Erik held positions at Alexion Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as Associate Director of Business Development and Strategic Evaluation, and at Biogen in various roles including New Product Commercialization, Strategic Insights & Analytics, and Corporate Development & Strategy Fellow. Erik began their research career as a Predoctoral Research Fellow at Johns Hopkins University - National Institutes of Health and worked as a Scientist in the Centers for Proteomic Chemistry at Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research. Erik holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Boston College and a PhD in Cell, Molecular, Developmental Biology, and Biophysics from The Johns Hopkins University.
