David Childs

David Childs has extensive experience in software development and engineering. David worked as a Principal Software Systems Engineer at Sandia National Laboratories starting in 2022. Prior to that, they operated their own consulting business, Dave Childs Consulting, as a freelance software developer since 2009. David also served as a Software Systems Engineer at Akima Infrastructure Services from 2020 to 2022. Earlier in their career, they held various roles such as Senior Software Engineer at Raytheon from 2009 to 2020, Senior Developer at Wolf International from 2007 to 2009, and Software Engineer at RESPEC from 2001 to 2005. David also worked as a Senior Consultant at Cerebus Consulting and Cerebus from 1999 to 2001 and as a Software Developer at Santa Fe Natural Tobacco Company from 1994 to 1998.

David Childs attended Santa Fe Community College in 1994, studying Computer Science. Prior to that, they completed their high school education at Northampton High School from 1984 to 1988. David obtained a Diploma from Northampton High School during this time. Additionally, David holds a certification as a Microsoft Certified Solutions Developer for .NET from Microsoft.
