Laura Good has a strong background in human resources, with extensive experience in various leadership roles. Laura served as the Director of Human Resources at Schumacher Homes from 2013 to present, where they successfully managed payroll, benefits, talent acquisition, workers compensation, OSHA, and employee relations for over 450 employees across multiple locations. Prior to that, they held the position of Director of Human Resources at Muransky Companies from 2008 to 2013, overseeing the HR function of four entities and handling benefit negotiation and administration for approximately 800 employees. Before that, Laura served as the Human Resource Manager at K. Hovnanian Homes from 2005 to 2008, managing HR functions for a multi-state home builder and distribution company. Laura also gained valuable experience as the Human Resource Manager at PARDA Federal Credit Union from 2001 to 2005. Throughout their career, Laura has excelled in associate relations, recruitment, training and development, benefit administration, and payroll management.
Laura Good has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Human Resources from Baker College Business and Corporate Services, which they completed from 1998 to 2000. Prior to that, they obtained an Associate's degree in Business from The University of Akron, graduating between 1983 and 1987. Laura Good also holds a certification as a Senior Certified Human Resource Professional from the Society for Human Resources. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Coaching for Improved Performance from Dale Carnegie in January 2019 and as a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) from SHRM in May 2018.
