Nick Betts completed their education as follows:
- From 1995 to 1999, they attended the University of Sunderland and obtained a 1st class BA (Hons) degree in Business Computing.
- From 1990 to 1992, they also studied at the University of Sunderland and earned a Higher National Diploma in Business and Finance.
- Prior to attending university, from 1985 to 1990, they completed their secondary education at Argyle House School, where they obtained 10 GCSEs.
