Sam Parlane

Sam Parlane has a diverse background in sports management, currently serving as the Schools & Youth Operations Manager at the Scottish Rugby Union since December 2014, where additional responsibilities include School Fixtures Coordinator. Prior experience includes roles such as Assistant Sport Competition Manager for Rugby Sevens at Glasgow 2014 Limited and League and Competitions Manager at the Scottish Football Association. Sam also held positions at the Glasgow City Marketing Bureau as Major Events Executive and at Cancer Research UK as Event Coordinator. Earlier career highlights include coordinating venues for Touch Victoria and working as a Business Development Officer at The Wellington City Mission. With a strong foundation in event management and project management, Sam possesses formal education including a BSc (hons) in Physiology & Sport Science from the University of Glasgow, a PRINCE2 certification from The Knowledge Academy, and an intensive event management course from Glasgow Caledonian University.
