Kathy Spencer

Kathy Spencer is a seasoned scientist with extensive experience in cell biology, currently serving as a Senior Staff Scientist at The Scripps Research Institute since October 1997. Previously, Kathy held the position of Postdoctoral Fellow at Duke University from October 1995 to September 1997 and at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from September 1993 to September 1995. Kathy completed graduate studies at Northwestern University, where a PhD in Cell Biology was obtained between 1988 and 1993, following a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from Iowa State University from 1984 to 1988.
