Eric Fang

Eric Fang has worked in a variety of roles since 2014. In 2014, they were a Teaching Assistant for Parallel Computer Programming and Architecture at Carnegie Mellon University. In 2015, they were an MTS III - SA Storage Solution at VMware. In 2016, they were a Software Engineer at ClusterHQ, where they worked on building storage solutions for running stateful applications in containers and Kubernetes. The company was backed by Accel and Canaan before folding in December of 2016. In 2017, they were a Software Engineer at Stack Lighting. In 2018, they were a Senior System Software Engineer at NVIDIA, where they led an experimental project to run Android OS and Android games for Cloud Game Streaming (GeForce Now) with container (LXC/LXD). In 2019, they were a Software Engineer at Kontain, where they worked on Unikernels, Containers, and Kubernetes. The company was backed by Engineering Capital, 8VC, and Floodgate. In 2021, they are a Software Engineer at Seaplane IO, where they are building a lot of cool stuff and using Rust to build a global-scale cloud infrastructure. The company is backed by Sequoia. Additionally, they are an Open Source Developer, with a Github profile at https://github.com/yihuaf and is a collaborator on Youki, an OCI compliant runtime written in rust.

Eric Fang attended Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law from 2019 to 2022, where they obtained a Master of Science in Legal Studies, General. From 2014 to 2015, they attended Carnegie Mellon University, where they obtained a Master of Science in Computer Science. Eric also attended Carnegie Mellon University from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.
