Chris Schmidt

Chris Schmidt is currently the COO at Security Pursuit. Chris has previously worked at Forensic Pursuit and Security Pursuit from October 2006 to May 2022, where they served as the Chief Operating Officer. At Forensic Pursuit, Chris provided expert computer forensic investigation, preventative forensic, e-discovery and educational services to attorneys, businesses and individuals worldwide. Chris established the company in 2006 and has since become a leader in emerging forensic technology, setting standards of excellence at every level.

From Kuwait to London, Denver to DC, Chris follows strict procedures with every investigation to ensure future admissibility of evidence. All of the analysts at Forensic Pursuit are CHFI and EnCE certified computer forensic investigators.

Chris provides computer security services to help organizations protect their critical information systems. Their services include: IT risk assessment, security controls review, data breach incident response, network penetration testing and vulnerability assessment, website penetration testing and vulnerability assessment, wireless network security, social engineering prevention, security awareness training, employee termination assistance and interim CISO consulting services.

Chris has conducted hundreds of IT security risk assessments for financial institutions, healthcare providers, retailers, airports, governments and critical infrastructure; many in support of PCI DSS, GLBA, NCUA, and HIPAA Meaningful Use compliance requirements. Their computer security services provide organizations with a higher level of awareness about the security posture of their organization.

Chris Schmidt attended the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, where they studied MCD Biology. Chris then went on to attend the University of Denver College of Engineering.
