Spencer Kerrigan's work experience begins in 1999 as a Teacher/Educator in the Ontario-Montclair School District, where they successfully transformed a low-performing school into one with top academic growth in California.
In 2005, they joined Houghton Mifflin Harcourt as a Senior Account Manager, where they played a key role in building a customer-first culture and developing implementation models that led to a 99% gross retention rate.
From 2008 to 2010, Kerrigan served as the Executive Director of Partners Relief & Development, implementing strategic initiatives that resulted in a 210%+ growth in annual revenue/giving and forming partnerships with corporations, charities, government groups, and donors to increase revenue and fund educational and medical initiatives in conflict zones.
Returning to the education industry, Kerrigan joined Illuminate Education, Inc. in 2010 as the Chief Customer Officer, leading the services teams and achieving 99% gross client retention and significant annual upsells. Spencer later served as the Vice President of Channel Sales, leading the channel partner sales team and introducing a professional development program.
In 2015, Kerrigan moved to IO Education powered by Illuminate Education as the VP of Customer Success and Operations. There, they worked closely with the President/CEO to reorganize the company/division, resulting in high client retention, revenue growth, new sales, and successful completion of RFPs.
Kerrigan joined Illuminate Education, Inc. again in 2017, initially as the VP of Sales West, where they led and coached a 10-person sales team and developed new pipeline and forecasting methodologies. Spencer was then promoted to SVP Partnerships & Alliances, reporting to the CEO and driving strategic partnerships, GTM and M&A strategy, and product strategy initiatives, resulting in significant revenue growth.
In 2020, Kerrigan became the VP Sales and Partnerships at Amira Learning, contributing to the development of an AI-powered reading assistant that provides students with feedback as they read.
Following that, Kerrigan joined SchoolMint in 2021 as the Chief Revenue Officer, where they worked on attracting, enrolling, and retaining more students through Strategic Enrollment Management.
Finally, in 2023, Kerrigan became the Chief Revenue Officer at Seesaw Learning, a platform that fosters creativity and feedback to empower teachers, families, and students, ultimately inspiring students to be their best.
Spencer Kerrigan has a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Organizational Leadership from Trinity Western University, which was earned between the years 2004 and 2006. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in English/Communication with a minor in Political Science at Azusa Pacific University from 1994 to 1998.
