Karim El Kheiashy Ph.D. MBA PMP PE has a diverse and extensive work experience in engineering and project management. Karim began their career as a Field Engineer - Civil at Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) in 2000, followed by a role as a Civil Engineer at Dar Al Handasah from 2000 to 2001. Karim then worked as a Civil Engineer at Fenstermaker from 2003 to 2007.

In 2007, they joined KBR, Inc. as the Americas Technical Coordinator, where they managed infrastructure disciplines and led project management and business development activities for oil and gas companies in the US Gulf of Mexico and internationally. Karim also served as the Americas Coastal and Maritime Local Sector Lead and Houston Water Resources Local Sector Lead.

From 2012 to 2013, Karim worked at Bechtel Corporation as a Technical Manager, responsible for hydraulics, hydrologic, and coastal aspects within the Bechtel Oil & Gas Engineering group. Karim managed design, sub-consultants and sub-contractors, and coordinated with various disciplines on an LNG EPC project in Australia. Karim also handled schedule management, cost control, and progress updates.

Karim then joined TechnipFMC in 2013 as a Project Manager / Project Engineering Manager, overseeing onshore and offshore projects including LNG and Renewable Energy projects in North America.

Currently, Karim holds multiple roles at Sempra LNG, including Project Director (Engineering & Construction), Senior Project Manager, and Project Manager, starting in 2018. Karim is responsible for managing and directing projects in engineering and construction, demonstrating their leadership and expertise in the energy industry.

Karim El Kheiashy has a strong educational background in the field of Civil Engineering and Business Administration. Karim obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Ain Shams University, which they completed between 1995 and 2000. Karim furthered their education by pursuing a PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of New Orleans from 2003 to 2007. During the same period, Karim also pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Through their academic pursuits, Karim has developed a comprehensive knowledge base in both engineering and business, providing him with a diverse skill set for their professional endeavors.
