Joel Richter

Joel Richter has worked as a Senior Backend Developer at Semrush since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Fraugster as a Go Developer from September 2021 to February 2023. During their time at Fraugster, Joel was involved in developing internal data tooling and customer-facing production microservices. Joel also played a key role in enhancing the in-house ML job scheduling system, implementing high impact features and addressing design flaws to improve development velocity and reduce defects. Before their industry experience, Joel served as a PHD Student at Brandeis University from September 2017 to July 2021.

Joel Richter has a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from Brandeis University, which they obtained in 2021. Prior to that, they completed their Honours Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Toronto in 2015.
