Ivar Svalheim Haugerud

Ambassador For Science at Simula Research Laboratory

Ivar Svalheim Haugerud is a skilled educator and researcher at the University of Oslo, currently serving as a Teacher Assistant in the 3rd semester physics course, FYS1120 - Electromagnetism, since August 2020. With experience in teaching and mentoring students in various physics courses, Ivar has also been an Ambassador for Science at Simula Research Laboratory since September 2018, delivering popular science talks to secondary and upper secondary school pupils in Oslo. Ivar's research background includes work on the origin of life using physical models, and various experiments related to fluid dynamics and molecular simulations. Ivar holds a Master's degree in Materials, Nanophysics, and Quantum Technology from the University of Oslo and has completed a Bachelor’s degree in Physics at the same institution.
