Laura Anderson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Laura started their career as an Acquisitions Manager at The Samuel Goldwyn Company, where they researched and evaluated independent films for acquisition and distribution. Laura then moved on to Ogilvy & Mather in Budapest as an Account Executive, working with international clients on marketing strategies and overseeing television commercial production. Laura then joined The Oprah Winfrey Show and Harpo Productions as the Director of Online Services, where they played a key role in launching and managing Oprah.com, reaching an average monthly impression of 6 million. Currently, Laura is the Director of Digital Advocacy and Outreach at the Sisters of St. Francis, leading advocacy communication efforts and creating engaging cross-platform content campaigns centered around social justice issues such as climate change, immigration reform, and income inequality.
Laura Anderson has a degree in Broadcast Communications from the University of Michigan. Laura also holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Cinema and Film/Video Production from the University of Southern California. In addition to their degrees, they obtained a certification in Climate Reality Leadership Corp from the Climate Reality Project in August 2013.
