Brian Ivie is the current President & CEO of Skagit Regional Health. Prior to their current position, Brian served as the Chief Operating Officer and then Chief Financial Officer of HCA-Regional Medical Center of San Jose from January 2000 to December 2002. In December 2004, Brian became the President/CEO of Mercy San Juan Medical Center and Methodist Hospital of Sacramento and held that position until April 2017.
Throughout their career, Brian has shown himself to be a leader in the healthcare industry. Brian has successfully implemented numerous strategic volume and revenue enhancements, in conjunction with expense controls, to consistently achieve improved operating income and favorable operating income variance to budget year over year. Brian also led the development of the Mercy Neurological Institute, which is now viewed as the premier provider of neuroscience care in the region. Under Brian’s leadership, Mercy San Juan achieved California’s first advanced designation as a Comprehensive Stroke Center.
Currently, as the President & CEO of Skagit Regional Health, Brian is focused on providing high-quality healthcare to the community they serve. Brian is committed to ensuring that Skagit Regional Health is a leader in the healthcare industry and is always looking for ways to improve the quality of care that they provide.
Brian Ivie took a very traditional educational path, completing their undergraduate degree in accounting at California State University-Northridge. Brian then pursued their MBA at Pepperdine University, The George L. Graziadio School of Business and Management. Brian also holds a certification from the California State Board of Accountancy as a Certified Public Accountant.
