Ba Kanako Motohashi Cphr

Kanako Motohashi has over 20 years of work experience in human resources and project coordination. Kanako is currently serving as the VP of People & Culture at Skeena Resources Limited. Previously, they held the position of Human Resources Director at Vancouver Film School from August 2021 to September 2022, and before that, they were the Human Resources Manager at the same institution from November 2019 to August 2021. Kanako also worked as the Manager of Corporate Human Resources at Goldcorp from January 2012 to November 2019. Prior to that, they served as the HR Manager at Angel Restoration from March 2009 to March 2011. Kanako started their career as a Project Coordinator at Provincial Health Services Authority in 2008 and worked as a Human Resources Administrator at Duke Energy Corporation in 2005. Kanako's early work experience includes serving as an English Language Teacher at Berlitz Japan from 2001 to 2004.

Kanako Motohashi has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from The University of British Columbia. Additionally, they have completed a Human Resource Management Post Diploma program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. In 2011, they obtained the certification of Chartered Professional of Human Resources from CPHR BC & Yukon.
