Arshad M. Zahidi

SVP Global Integration & Operations at SkyPower Global

Arshad M. Zahidi has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Arshad started their career as a Process Engineer at Engro Corp in 1991 and worked on urea plant capacity debottlenecking until 1998. Arshad then joined QAFCO as a Process Design Engineer, leading a urea plant lifetime assessment study. In 2000, they returned to Engro Corp as a Senior Process Engineer and later became the Operations Manager for Urea & Ammonia Plants, where they implemented operational excellence practices. In 2008, they worked as a Principal in Portfolio Management & Investments at The Abraaj Group. The next year, they joined K-Electric as the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for the business turnaround of the electric utility. Arshad achieved a significant increase in EBIDTA within three years. In 2015, they rejoined The Abraaj Group as the Director of Management Consulting, leading technical and commercial due diligence in growth markets. In 2016, they became a Management Consultant at Bruce Power, where they provided independent project oversight and program management services for major refurbishment projects. Currently, they serve as the SVP of Global Integration & Operations at SkyPower Global, leading the execution of a 1000MW green energy project in Uzbekistan and integrating project development, execution, and operational phases in various regions.

Arshad M. Zahidi obtained their Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore, from 1986 to 1991. Prior to that, they completed their high school education in Pre-Engineering at Government College University, Lahore, from 1983 to 1985. Arshad also has additional certifications in various areas such as "HAZOP," "Inherent Plant Safety," "Accident Investigation," "Process Safety & Risk Management," and "Operation Managers Safety & Auditing" from Exxon & Dupont. Moreover, they have applied for a P-Eng Certification and is currently in the process of obtaining a PMP Certification. There is no specific information available regarding any education at Harvard Business School or The Wharton School.
