Geert Trooskens

Geert Trooskens has extensive experience in software development and computational biology. Geert currently works as a Software Engineer at Snowcrash, starting in August 2022. Prior to that, they were a Software Engineer at Snowcrash from May 2022 to August 2022. In 2020, Geert worked as a Software Architect at H42.ai and as a Founding Engineer at HOTG.AI. Geert also has experience as a Software Engineer at Skoop.bio from January 2022 to April 2022. In terms of computational biology, Geert has worked as a Computational Biologist at Sharecare from February 2021 to December 2021 and at doc.ai from November 2018 to February 2021. Geert also worked at Ghent University as a Computational Scientist from October 2016 to February 2021 and as a PhD student from May 2009 to September 2016. In addition, Geert has served as a Bioinformatician at MDxHealth from September 2016 to October 2019 and from September 2005 to April 2009. Geert was also the Chief Software Architect & Founder at Wobblebase Inc. from November 2012 to October 2018.

Geert Trooskens obtained their Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree in Biotechnology from Ghent University between 2000 and 2005. Subsequently, they pursued further education at the same university and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from 2009 to 2017.
