Nuwan Withanage (NW) FCA,ACCA,MBA.B.ADM (PIM USj),B.B.Mgt (Fin)sp.,CMA has a diverse and extensive work experience. Starting in 2007, NW worked as an Audit Supervisor at KPMG Sri Lanka for over three years. Following that, from 2010 to 2014, NW served as the Manager Finance and Planning at Union Assurance PLC. In 2014, NW joined Softlogic Life as the Chief Financial Officer and currently holds this position. NW's involvement in various organizations includes roles such as Council Member at the Open University of Sri Lanka, Independent Non-Executive Director/Chairman Audit Committee at JFS Holdings, and Governing Council Member at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. Additionally, NW is the Chairman of the Finance and Technical Committee (FTSC) at the Finance Technical Committee- Insurance Association of Sri Lanka (IASL) - Insurance Industry Sri Lanka since 2018. NW has also been a Board Member at the Integrated Reporting Council of Sri Lanka (IRCSL) since 2020. Lastly, NW's involvement in the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka includes being the Chairman of the Taskforce to Develop Non-Financial Reporting Practices in Sri Lanka.

Nuwan Withanage (NW) has a diverse education history in the field of accounting and business management. Nuwan Withanage (NW) became a Fellow Member (FCA) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka. Nuwan Withanage (NW) also holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Postgraduate Institute of Management (PIM). In addition, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Management (Finance) with specialization from the University of Kelaniya Sri Lanka. NW has also earned a Certificate of Management Accountants of Sri Lanka (ACMA) and is currently pursuing an Associate Member designation from ACCA, which they are expected to complete in 2022.
