Kosuke Uemura

Kosuke Uemura currently serves as President and COO at Sojitz Corporation, having held various executive positions since April 2018, including COO of Corporate Planning and the Chemicals Division. Uemura's extensive experience includes senior leadership roles at Sojitz Energy Venture, Inc., managing business development and corporate operations, and at Sojitz Corporation of America, overseeing energy and mineral resource trading in the Americas. Prior roles include management of LNG projects in Africa and oil and gas asset management in the UK and Australia. Uemura began their career at Nissho Iwai Corporation, focusing on energy projects. Uemura holds an MBA in Finance from SMU Cox School of Business and a BS in Wood Science and Wood Products from The University of Tokyo.
