Sanna Virkkunen

Sanna Virkkunen is a highly experienced professional in the healthcare and technology sectors, currently serving as Business Director at Solita Health since February 2019, also holding roles such as Director of Strategic Accounts and Account Director. Sanna has been an active board member of HL7 Finland since January 2021 and co-chair of IHE Finland, an organization focused on improving health information sharing through interoperability standards. With a solid foundation in telemedicine, Sanna was a board member of the Finnish Society of Telemedicine and eHealth until April 2022 and managed ICT architecture and design at Northern Ostrobothnia Hospital District prior to their current role. Sanna has also contributed to academia as a part-time teacher at Oulu University of Applied Sciences and is pursuing a Doctor of Science degree at Aalto University. Educational credentials include a Master of Engineering in Information Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Medical Engineering from Oulu University of Applied Sciences. Additionally, Sanna owns and teaches Nia, a movement-based wellness program.
