Lee Kauffman has extensive work experience in the healthcare industry, holding various leadership roles throughout their career. Lee recently served as the Chief Contracting Officer at SoNE HEALTH since April 2021. Prior to that, they were the Interim Vice President at Dartmouth-Hitchcock from September 2020 to April 2021. From 2015 to 2019, they held the position of Vice President Contracting at Lahey Health, and also worked as the Director of Contracting from 2015 to 2016. Earlier in their career, they were the Director of Managed Care, Admin Director Laboratory Services, and Co-Director Highland Management at Winchester Hospital from 2003 to 2015. Lee also served as the Executive Director at Lake Forest Hospital from 1998 to 2001. Before that, they worked at Harvard Pilgrim Health Care as a Manager Regional Business Operations from 1994 to 1997. Prior to that, they were a Manager in the Healthcare Consulting Practice at Ernst & Young from 1991 to 1994. Lee started their career as the Director of Budgets and Reimbursement at Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Needham in 1989.
Lee Kauffman earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Lafayette College in 1982. Lee later pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a specialization in Healthcare Management from the Questrom School of Business at Boston University, which they completed between 1982 and 1984. Additionally, they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Boston University.
