Mark Smith

Mark Smith is an accomplished legal professional with a diverse background in corporate law. Currently serving as Principal Legal Counsel - Corporate at Sonnedix since August 2022, Mark has previously held senior legal roles at Mitsubishi Corporation from September 2014 to July 2022, including positions as Senior Legal Counsel and Legal Counsel, along with a secondment to Diamond Generating Europe Ltd during that time. Earlier in their career, Mark gained valuable experience at Ashurst as an Associate and Trainee Solicitor from 2008 to 2014. Additionally, Mark served as an Assistant Language Teacher under the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program between July 2005 and July 2006. Mark Smith holds a Bachelor of Arts in Classics from the University of Cambridge, a Postgraduate Diploma in EU Competition Law from King's College London, and Postgraduate Diplomas in Law and Legal Practice from BPP Law School.
