Kertu Ruus has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Kertu started their career as the Editor in Chief at the Cicil Society Herald Forum in 1999 and held this position until 2003. From 2003 to 2009, they worked as an Editor and Washington DC correspondent at Äripäev. Kertu then joined news2biz, Äripäev/Bonnier Group, as the Editor in Chief from 2009 to 2013. Following this, they became the Head of Programme at Äripäev Conferences, part of the Äripäev/Bonnier Group, from 2013 to 2016. Currently, since 2016, they are working at Sorainen as the Business Development and Marketing Manager in Estonia, and has recently taken on the role of Head of Marketing and Communication, Baltics and Belarus.
Kertu Ruus completed their secondary education at Tallinn 7th Secondary School from 1984 to 1995. Kertu then went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Journalism from the University of Tartu between 1995 and 2002.
