Kevin Pontius

Kevin Pontius is an experienced Environmental Health Specialist II at Southern Nevada Health District since October 2016, focusing on food establishment inspections primarily along the Las Vegas Strip. Previously, Kevin served as a Public Health Sanitarian II with Brown County Health Department, enforcing state health codes across various establishments in Wisconsin. Early career experiences include internships in food safety and recreational licensing, where Kevin assisted with inspections and data entry, as well as a teaching assistant role at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, leading scientific educational activities. Currently pursuing a Master of Public Health in Environmental Health at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas, Kevin holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
