Dr. Matthias Bartels

Dr. Matthias Bartels has extensive work experience in various roles and companies. Dr. Matthias is currently serving as the Head of IT at Sozialwerk St. Georg e.V. since November 2021. Prior to this, they worked at Ruhr-Universität Bochum Lehrstuhl für Industrial Sales Engineering as the Group Leader for "Kundenorientierte Organisation 4.0" from August 2018 to November 2021. Dr. Matthias also held roles as the Leiter Leonardo da Vinci Labor from January 2017 to August 2018 and as a Wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter from December 2010 to December 2016 at the same company. Additionally, they worked at mib Management Institut Bochum GmbH, where they served as a Prokurist, Business Relationship Manager, and Geschäftsbereichsleiter from January 2018 to November 2021. Dr. Matthias was also a Projektleiter at the same company from December 2010 to December 2014. Furthermore, they took on the role of a Digital Scout Ruhrgebiet at Mittelstand 4.0-Kompetenzzentrum Siegen from November 2017 to November 2021.

Dr. Matthias Bartels pursued their education at Ruhr University Bochum from 2010 to 2016, where they obtained a Dr.-Ing. degree in the field of Maschinenbau (Mechanical Engineering). Prior to that, from 2003 to 2010, they attended TU Dortmund University, where they earned a Diplom-Wirtschaftsingenieur degree specializing in Wirtschaftsingenieurswesen (Industrial Engineering).
