Tom Vielott began their work experience in 2012 as a Robotics Academy Summer Intern at the National Robotics Engineering Center (NREC), where they worked on various projects related to robotics and instructional guides. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as a Peer Tutor at Carnegie Mellon University, providing personalized assistance to struggling students in statistics. In 2015, they served as a Technical Intern at the City of Pittsburgh's Department of Permits, Licenses, and Inspections. From 2017 to 2022, they worked as a Statistical Analyst for the ACCESS Project at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. From 2018 to 2022, they were the Lead Designer of "The Peace Game" at the University of Pittsburgh. In 2021, they became a Wargame Instructional Fellow at The United States Army War College. Currently, Tom is employed as a Data Scientist at Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc.
Tom Vielott has a solid education background with a diverse range of studies. Tom pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in History and Statistics from Carnegie Mellon University, which they successfully completed from 2012 to 2016. Following this, they enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh and obtained a Master of Public and International Affairs degree in Security and Intelligence Studies between 2018 and 2020. In addition to this, they concurrently pursued a Master of Science degree in Information Science from the same university during the period of 2019 to 2020.
