Youichiro Miyake

Youichiro Miyake is a highly experienced professional in the field of artificial intelligence and game development, currently serving as Project Professor at 東京大学 since October 2022 and General Manager of the AI Division at Square Enix since January 2022. Additionally, Miyake holds the position of CTO at SQUARE ENIX AI & ART Alchemy since June 2020 and has been with SQUARE ENIX CO., LTD. since April 2011 as the Lead AI Researcher in the Advanced Technology Division. Previous experience includes working as a Researcher and AI Game Programmer at FromSoftware from October 2004 to March 2011, contributing to notable projects such as Chrome Hounds and Demon's Souls. Miyake earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Engineering with a focus on Artificial Intelligence from The University of Tokyo and holds a Master of Physics from Osaka University, as well as a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Kyoto University.
