Daniel Castro, PE, currently serves as the Design Manager at Berkeley Lab since June 2024, focusing on the development and evolution of critical infrastructure while managing large electrical projects. Previously, Daniel held the position of Principal and Buildings Discipline Lead at Stantec, contributing to community-focused designs. As the Principal and Electrical Department Manager at Integral Group, Daniel promoted energy-efficient electrical systems in building design. Additionally, Daniel worked as an Electrical Principal at Engineering 350, where sustainability guided diverse projects. Daniel's prior experience includes roles as a Senior Electrical Engineer at BuroHappold Engineering and as an Electrical Design Engineer at YEI Engineers, Inc., where comprehensive electrical design services were provided across various sectors. Daniel began a career in electrical engineering as a Lead Engineer at Qualitau, managing system support tasks. Daniel holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from San Francisco State University, completed in 2004.
