Robert Reis

Principal Civil Engineer at Stanwell

Robert Reis has had a diverse and extensive work experience in the engineering field. Robert started their career as a Senior Structural Engineer at Aurecon in 1998, where they worked until 2000. Robert then joined Bechtel Corporation as the Structural Group Leader for Bechtel Services from 2000 to 2003. Robert also served as the Lead Structural Engineer for the Rio Tinto NeWeipa Project during this time. Following this, they worked as a Senior Structural Engineer at Sedgman from 2004 to 2008. In 2008, they joined AECOM as the Associate Director of Structural Engineering, where they worked until 2017. During their tenure at AECOM, they also held the position of Principal Engineer for Minerals and Industry from 2008 to 2012. In 2016, they joined Griffith University as a PHD Candidate, and in 2017, they joined Stanwell Corporation Limited as the Principal Civil Engineer.

Robert Reis obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Southern Queensland from 1988 to 1991. After a significant gap, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Structural Engineering at Griffith University, where they are expected to complete their studies in 2022.
