Senior Scientist, Disease Biology at Star Therapeutics

Nayaab Khan, PhD, is a highly experienced scientist specializing in disease biology and pharmacology. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist at Star Therapeutics since November 2020, Nayaab Khan leads projects focused on biomarker identification and disease modeling, while managing collaborations and vendor relationships. Previous roles include Scientist II positions at Carmot Therapeutics and in immunology, where Nayaab Khan investigated therapeutic agents for obesity, diabetes, and autoimmune diseases. Additional experience includes pharmacology research at RTI International, a postdoctoral fellowship at Mount Sinai Health System studying atherosclerosis, and two postdoctoral positions at The Feinstein Institute for Medical Research, where Nayaab Khan developed a genetic model for aneurysm and engaged in translational research. Educational background includes a PhD in Cardiovascular Pharmacology from The University of Tennessee Health Science Center, a Master's degree from Nottingham Trent University, and a Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences from JAI HIND COLLEGE, MUMBAI.
