Ken Charles

Ken Charles is an experienced professional in the construction and consulting industry, currently serving as Managing Director at both the Steel Joist Institute since June 2011 and the Steel Deck Institute since April 2023. Previous roles include Principal at Southeastern Consulting and Area Sales Director for the Southeast at Commercial Metals Company. Ken also held the position of General Manager at New Millennium Building Systems and President of Socar, Inc. Additionally, early in Ken's career, roles included Credit Analyst at the National Bank of South Carolina. Ken Charles earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Management from Clemson University in 1975.
