Matthew Peters

Matthew Peters has a strong background in tax management and international tax operations. Matthew began their career as a Staff Accountant at McGee, Rice & Wheat, CPAs in 1995. Matthew then worked as a Corporate Tax Manager at Conseco, Inc from 1997 to 1999. Following that, they served as the Manager of Client Services at CIC Enterprises from 1999 to 2000. Matthew then joined Ernst & Young as a Tax Senior Manager from 2000 to 2005. Matthew briefly worked as a Tax Director at PricewaterhouseCoopers in 2005 before joining Cummins as the Director of International Tax. At Cummins, they led tax operations in various countries and coordinated global transfer pricing documentation. Matthew held this role from 2005 to 2012. Next, they served as the Director, International Tax at Hillenbrand Inc. from 2012 to 2013, and then as the Director of Tax from 2013 to 2014. Matthew was the VP Global Tax at Remy International from 2014 to 2015. Currently, they hold the positions of Director of Taxation and Vice President - Tax at Steel Dynamics, Inc.

Matthew Peters has a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, Finance, and Economics from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business, which they earned from 1991 to 1995. Matthew also holds both an MBA and an MPA in Finance and Tax respectively from Indiana University - Kelley School of Business, which they obtained from 1998 to 2000.
